This product is unique. My research has revealed no
competition. However, it is such a narrow niche, and requires
highly targeted advertising.
According to statistics, there
were approximately
48,874,704
travellers in the USA in 2006. I am estimating that at least 10%
of those travellers would have an interest in using the "Real Iron
Chef" cooking in a hotel room method.
That means we have
a niche market of roughly 4.8 million of which about 1% to 3% (or
more) would be potential buyers. ie:
48,000 x $14.95 = $717,600 to $2.15 million. That's only the
USA.
If you factor in
the entire english speaking global
travellers, the market is huge.
As for where to advertise, I have a few suggestions.
You could purchase targeted leads for the travel industry to try
to reach that 1 to 3% group. Also, travel magazines, sites etc
would also be a good place to advertise.
